As the Author notes at the outset, there have been myriad
works written on the Eucharist.
Yet this non-technical, edifying, highly orthodox work, while without the genius of, say, St. Theresa of Avila's The Way of Perfection, nevertheless is a good meandering meditation of the theology of the Holy Eucharist.
Other than occasional snippets of Latin, the book is more or less self-contained; there are no references to dogmatic councils, authoritative papal teaching, etc.
